We don't really know how close the QB competition was. Coaches make statements
all the time to appease players how arent going to get the start.
Also, Retzlaff is a much better QB today than he was at the end of Fall camp, because he has now started 8 games. Bohanon has not, so he hasn't gotten the benefit of that experience. It makes a difference. No knock on Bohanan, but I bet there is a pretty wide gap between the two right now, mostly due to Retzlaff's experience the last 8 games.
