Literally most of the time people write Christmas but with limited characters, X
is OK at times. Some people don't care or don't want to spell it but in that case we know what the X means, just like we know what Mormon or LDS means. Do what you please but it's not always used to be counterculture or if someone has issues with religion. Besides, when carrying the cross it makes an X.
