It's more that many games are never ported to Mac.
Last I looked the M chips are decent graphically, but a lot developers aren't porting games over to Mac. There are some sure but most big titles are reserved for PC and console.

Yesterday brought new iMacs but today's update is the Mac Mini. Maybe Apple's best computer, but way underestimated.

M4 Mac Mini at $599 is such an great value for what you get. It's essentially desktop version of the $1600 MBP.

Plus it will probably be even cheaper than that from costco once they have it

No. Any monitor or keyboard/mouse can be used.

As a non-gamer I don't know what's needed. Is it a graphics deficiency?

Developers just largely abandoned the Mac platform many years ago.

I don't game much but the M1 does play CS:GO legacy well. And the mini has active cooling.

Just noticed the base model even comes with 16GB of ram now. That's great! Still only 256GB storage in base.

~$75 gets you a 1tb M.2 drive.. Put it in a $50 enclosure and get 3k MB/s Read/Write.

Yeah that's more like it. I raised my eyebrows when you said $50 for the enclosure combined with that speed.
