Sounds like par for the course. I doubt the Dodgers are interested at all at the projected contract amounts (like $700-$800 million - I don't get it - he's an all world hitter but that's it - not a good defender. Ohtani got that amount but he's also an elite pitcher and as good of a hitter). The Dodgers are much more interested in Roki Sasaki and could also re-sign Teoscar Hernandez for a fraction of what Soto is asking for (which would be awesome).
