There is no point or upside in having Taysom play QB at this point.
He hasn’t played QB in three years. I don’t know why people on CB think that he would be able to come in and just play QB after being exclusively a FB/TE type guy the whole time. I think it would be virtually impossible for anyone to take a three year break and then go play QB at a competent level.

On top of that, he’s 34. Even if he came in and somehow played well, he’s not a long term answer at this point. His age will catch up sooner rather than later, so the Saints will be back at square one with no QB in a few years max.

Your season is pretty much done at this point. The Saints aren’t very good. They’ve already lost to the Bucs and Falcons this year, so they probably aren’t winning their division. And the NFC wildcard is super stacked.

You also have two young QBs on your roster. They aren’t supposed to work out because they’re later round draft picks, but you might as well see what you’ve got. Best case, you have a long term guy. Worst case, you’re drafting high enough to try and find the next guy.

It makes zero sense in the short term or long term to play Taysom at QB.
