I always remember the 1984 Michigan game. Yes, they didn't have a great record, and based on that, we should have boot-stomped them, but they had been ranked earlier in the season and had lost a lot of key players, who all seemed to return then for the bowl game. So, the Michigan team we played and didn't destroy, based on their w/l record, wasn't the team they had had most of the season. We were back to the team they had when they had been ranked.
