BackPacker Intervention Needed
Reading between the lines, there's real issues with the locker room
trusting Isaac, that is, they've seemingly given up on him. Guys started playing a little harder for a series or two when they benched Isaac last night and put in Rose. Of course Rose hasn't been getting many reps but was throwing more accurate balls for a bit when he went in. Unfortunately for him, his targets still dropped a bunch of his throws.

Assuming that was a result of different velocity and spin on the balls that the receivers weren't used to and not the receivers being completely checked out mentally, I'm going to also assume that Rose will now be getting the lions share of reps these next two weeks and will get more dialed in with their receivers.

I also think they'll install a few trick plays and so forth.

This is what gives me the most anxiety about the game. So, I think they'll roll out with some new stuff that will keep them in the game through the first half because BYU won't have much if any tape to prepare them for all that. Maybe BYU goes into halftime with a something like a 17-14 lead.

I think BYU's defense will make some good adjustments at halftime and settle into the 2nd half more comfortably allowing BYU's offense to stretch out the lead and pull away.

Hence, I'm holding my prediction to 31-17 in favor of BYU, because Utah's D will be good enough to keep BYU a bit short of their average points and from really being able to run up the score.
