the rating systems were so off compared to draft picks. The Trinty League in California had zero players drafted, yet these schools are loaded with high recruits.
One real issue is that a lot of kids have lots of training and development early and max out at high school (DJU is a great example). Another is so many parents hold their kids back, that many high school seniors at 19, maxed out growth, and look great competing against 16 and 17 year olds.
The FPI is the worst. I am sure there is a metic for conference - extra points for SEC and B1G, no matter the record and embarrassing losses.
