over the next 3 weeks of practice just to ensure I beat Deion and the hated Buffs.

In reality, I guarantee you that whit and staff will exploit a weakness of the BYU defense which seems to be that they don’t play very well when you throw things at them that haven’t been used and aren’t in film yet. They’ll try to implement an entirely new offensive scheme in the next 2 weeks (in fact, they may have even started last week) with Rose at QB. And we’ll struggle on D with the post game comments saying things like “they did stuff that we never saw on tape from any of their previous games.”

Or, they make a bigger mess of things by trying to install something new but without the right personnel it really just creates more confusion for their offense and they look like it’s week 1 along with week 1 type miscues.


I’m mentally prepared for either situation.
