The objective is almost certainly to increase revenues for home game sales and also to build a culture of sellout games even against teams that will not be competitive. I'm obviously not in a place where I can make it to the game (it's a bit of a trip from WV) and I would like to see it on BYUTV, but I understand the desire to promote ticket sales locally and also avoid the costs of production for a glorified practice.
