BYU’s ability to finish at the rim. Last season, there were numerous games where the team struggled to convert on simple layups, which sounds minor, but had a substantial impact in several games last year. For instance, in the game at Oklahoma, BYU went 9-for-22 around the rim and missed out on a ton of easy points.
One of the most exciting changes that Kevin Young is bringing into BYU is an increase in athleticism. Many layup opportunities should theoretically be converted into dunks or stronger finishes this season.
