Amazing. Been following your adventures and what a blessed life you live brother. Advice on the injured hand.
Assuming everything goes great and you heal well. My advice is to keep a pair of kevlar gloves in your hunting kit in a ziplock bag.

Many different brands you can find that are comfortable hug the hand so you can use your knives without it feeling too clumsy.

So many store butchers and deli s are requiring these when preparing meat for customers that it makes sense to be wearing one when you're hours away from medical help.

Once you're done dressing your kill just place them back in the ziplock so you can wash them when you get home.
