Fiesta Bowl, Technically the Peach, Rose, Sugar, or Fiesta bowl.
Officially we would play in the Peach, Rose, Sugar, or Fiesta bowl. . . But those bowls will go to historic tie ins first, locations second.
#1/#2 will go to Sugar and Rose bowls due to the historic tie ins.
#3 will get location preference, most likely Peach Bowl
#4 BYU will be left with the Fiesta bowl, which will be one heckuva New Year's Eve party
(I could definitely be wrong here, just an educated guess.)
The Semifinal is in the Orange/Cotton Bowl, this is based purely on #1 seed preferential placement (Bringing #4 BYU with them). I'd assume Texas/Oregon would take the Cotton Bowl, the rest would choose the Peach bowl. . . But I am just guessing at this point.
"The selection committee will assign the four highest-ranked conference champions to Playoff Quarterfinals hosted by bowls. This will be done in consideration of historic bowl relationships, then in consideration of rankings. For example, if the Sugar Bowl hosts a Playoff Quarterfinal and the SEC champion is ranked No. 1 and the Big 12 champion is ranked No. 3, the SEC champion would be assigned to the Sugar Bowl and the Big 12 champion would be assigned elsewhere."
