Prassas's selling out on the tackle might've looked pathetic, but he knew he was in major trouble if you got anything less than his full momentum & both shoulders into the guy. Prassas also knew it was a coverage fail on his part more than anything terrible he might do on the desperation tackle.
Where OSU was on the field, honestly the staff should've had letting them go as a serious option on the table. Any 1st downs within 6-7 yards of the endzone, anyway. We hadn't come close to stopping them all night in that scenario. Their misdirection & RPO was too good. Even with the backup (who I know wasn't really the backup — but still, it looked like they had him well-prepared to go in that game if they had too. He played with a lot of pride for a guy who'd just lost is gig a few weeks before — for a team that has really stunk it up this season for the most part). Big 12 pride almost ensures a very different level of prep & play from anything we've ever seen before. These "bad" teams are clearly trying hard to right their ships each & every week for the most part.
