Some of that is just coachspeak. Coaching in the NBA is harder than coaching…
…in college. Your margins for error in the pros are so much narrower and the game is so much faster. You’re dealing with the top 2% of college D-1 players playing in the NBA. Coaching D-1 isn’t a cakewalk but it won’t be as demanding as coaching at the NBA level. The game is much slower and he gets way more time to actually do some coaching with players that you don’t get at the NBA level.

Imagine being a college coach then dropping down to coach at the high school level for the first time.
