It was very dumb. They didn't bring a new market, tradition, or memorable
history to the conference. Their fanbase is terrible. Once Whitt leaves and they become a perpetual lower tier program, everyone will wonder why they are here. occasionally they might have a good season, but long term they bring very little.

Programs like Rutgers, Minnesota, Northwestern, Indiana, and Vanderbilt bring far more of a market or prestige to their conferences, and too often are completely forgotten about. The Utes are worse than all of them.
