I recognize that we are still yet to see if Bohanon is needed this year and if he performs well.

Neither were highly touted portal QBs, but I'm afraid this might hurt our chances at landing solid portal QBs going forward.

I hope we don't need portal QBs and can simply recruit and develop some talent.

OTOH Retz is essentially (I know, JC transfer) a positive portal QB outcome

Especially at QB which is the most difficult position to master in football.
