But if you look at just our last 3 opponents, we rank 123rd in opp 3rd down conversion and 130th in opp punts per game.

Obviously forcing a lot of turnovers plays into the low opponent punt attempts. But when you combine the low number of forced punts with the very poor 3rd down defense, it's definitely a cause for concern. If our defense doesn't force a turnover, they simply struggle to get off the field. If we want any chance of going undefeated and potentially winning the conference, we have to see some improvement there.
