safety was supposed to take outside contain on the QB, but I don't know. If it was Batty's responsibility, he had a horrible game and should have been pulled if he didn't correct it. Also, if Batty was supposed to crash down I don't like that defensive scheme, when the ball was handed off Batty normally didn't get to the running back up the middle anyway, he was too far outside and not fast enough to make the stop, and when it wasn't handed off, they QB had all day to run. No matter what they QB did, Batty was taking himself out of the play. So if that was the scheme it was a bad scheme.
