Utah…it is a very well connected community and small community. Not just within the state but even the conference. I would not doubt anything he says. Many of these relationships between the programs extend beyond the institutions. Hans has no reason to share disinformation about what he is hearing when he is trying to preserve not only his reputation as a broadcaster but also retain those relationships that he has. He’s not just the color analyst for BYU on the weekends but he also covers all the instate teams for the local radio. I’d take it from him long before I’d trust somebody on X who doesn’t like what he has to say. News flash…these guys are all human and they talk to each other. It’s just not often you get to hear about it.
