That's the problem with rankings, too many treat them like a popularity contest
Rankings are supposed to be based upon what you have done to this point in the season.
Based solely upon what teams have done to this point in the season, only three teams can claim to have 2 wins against teams currently ranked in the top 25; Oregon, Georgia, and BYU.
All three of those teams have ugly wins, but only one of those teams has that ugly win held against them. Oregon beat Idaho by an underwhelming 10 point margin, 24-14. Georgia barely beat a very mediocre Kentucky, 13-12. But somehow BYU"s close win against Ok. St. means BYU is unworthy in spite of the rest of their resume.
