Andy out in any way. He may have made it easy/ comfortable to quit, including paying much or all of the remaining pay.
They replaced Andy with an internal consultant with extensive college and pro experience. It isn’t like Andy put the team in a bind. The new, interim OC could have been the replacement plan all along. Andy is old enough there were widespread rumors he would retire with Kyle soon.
This allows the team to try the new guy with “full” (as “full” as it gets under Kyle with “Protect the Defense” as a team rule) OC responsibilities and freedoms. Could have long term benefits for the team.
