Anyone here a rheumatologist or know of one in Utah or Salt Lake county?Daughter
At BYU is having some health issues. She has some really odd symptoms, one of which she gets so dizzy so bad that she really cant function. The condition seemed like it has been getting much worse lately, but started have slight symptoms since she got home from her mission around 2 years ago. Now it is so bad where she had to quit her job and often misses class. She has had some tests to rule out things like POTS, BPPV, eye exam, and seen an ophthalmologist, cardiologist, her GP, etc.

We finally got all of her bloodwork done and everything came back normal except her anti centromere antibodies number came back extremely elevated. She has been referred to a rheumatologist there, but just heard back from them and there are NO availabilities until MARCH 2025?? She can't continue to live with what it going on for so long, so I am desperate to somehow find something sooner. She has a PPO so her insurance shouldn't be an issue.

I happen to be a physical therapist, so I know just a little bit about the body and I hate when people do this to me (Google research) but out of all of the major rheumatisms out there, she has ALL of the major signs and symptoms of Sjögrens Syndrome and when I do a deeper dive it does sound like these patients can suffer from dizziness issues, for reasons similar to one with POTS.

Please DM me if you might be a rheumatologist or happen to have a connection to one. We are extremely desperate to get her into somebody ASAP.

Thanks
