Who here has seen Netflix's documentary on the Menendez brothers? I watched it

last night. I was a young teen when all that went down and have grown up thinking they were just some punks who offed their parents. After hearing the horrific abuse they suffered at the hands of their father I feel a little differently.

I am not saying I think they should walk. I don't believe they were in imminent danger when they killed their parents (especially not from their mom), but especially now as the father of little kids I just cannot fathom a child enduring that abuse and I cannot say what is the correct way to deal with that or how it should affect someone.  It breaks my heart any child has to endure that kind of treatment from the person most responsible for their protection.

Not trying to kick a hornet's nest, but it's been weighing on me since watching it and imagining how many little kids out there are suffering out there because of stuff like that.
