A subtle but important play on OKSt last TD drive. A couple of plays
before the swing pass to Pressley for the TD, Pressley caught one and ran for about 8 yards, was tackled near the boundary, and was ruled out of bounds. This stopped the clock since it was inside of 2 minutes. It looked really close to whether he was in bounds or out of bounds on the tackle, so I was glad that the ref marked him out.

That stoppage saved BYU from having to burn another timeout to preserve time for their offense when they got the ball back. It also saved valuable seconds that they needed on their drive to win the game.

If Retzlaff would have only had one time out left when he scrambled for 27, he may not have cut it to the middle of the field, but out of bounds to preserve the time out. I know they spiked the ball on the next play, but he still may have gone more conservative and gone out of bounds.

And as has been discussed, obviously having Oklahoma State score more quickly really saved BYU's chances to win the game. A couple of more plays run before a score and it would have been over.
