It just makes us look bad. Don't engage on social media, or in email or anywhere with him and the other yewts. I've obviously participated in some finger pointing at the Utes here on CB, but let's keep it here and not go poke them elsewhere on the Internet. Just enjoy the mess from afar.

And so, I’m most grateful for the words and images shared by folks who have taken the time to express themselves on the matter, who have been nothing short of remarkable in helping me and everyone else in their individual realms understand that I likely was incorrect."

Ah, the whole, "I can't be blamed for being wrong, I'm just making a guess!" No, you weren't just making a guess. You were making a guarantee, which as a media member is a dumb thing to do. Even in a column, stick to the facts and stop trying to sell hype

He then basically just copies and pastes social media posts into his column for the rest of the piece (he gets paid to do this? Dang.).

“I’m honestly feeling bad for my Utah friends right now, but I’m not feeling bad about piling on Brother Monson at all.”

And, “Gordon is stooopid.”

And, “You’re a loser, just like the Utes.”

And, “You should go [expletive] yourself. You’re an [expletive]. You [expletive] [expletive]. Go Cougs.”

Ahhh, indeed. Is this not how we learn? A teachable moment. I feel expanded, enlightened, encouraged, even. And I’m grateful."


Some of those make us look pretty dumb. Just don't poke the bear, folks. He'll just use it as ammo in a future column. Same goes for the other yewt idiots on social media.
