Nobody (except their immediate fans and major sports networks) likes a team that buys their way to the top. The Yankees have long been seen this way, and now the Dodgers are too. From non Dodgers-fans perspectives, the Dodgers are SUPPOSED to win all the time. Anything less than all-winning, all-the-time, is seen as a face plant.
