Did expect the Utes to be competitive. Recent comment (edited to not give him away in a highly BYU leaning Utah County area): "The way we (Utah) are playing we probably can't beat (Utah County) High School (NOT one of the large powerhouse schools)..." Also, (before the game Saturday) "I'm doubtful on more than 2 more wins based on current defense and offense." Plenty of weeping and wailing.

I have a hard time seeing how a coach from Northwestern that led an offense that sucked 2 of 3 previous years improves things for the Utes.
