BYU Houston game tomorrow is big for seeding and BYU's at large bid candidacy.
A win puts BYU in sole possession of 5th place in standings. a loss to Houston would drop BYU all the way to 10th and almost completely eliminate their at-large bid. (I guess they could lose to Houston and then beat TT and win 3 games in big 12 tournament and lose in championship game and that would be another story, but that's unlikely). A tie puts BYU into a 4 way tie for 6th.

Even two wins by BYU to end regular season doesn't necessarily bump them into 4th and the bye, but BYU does control their destiny for the 5th spot in the standings. Big 12 is looking good to get 4 teams into the tournament, and maybe 5 if BYU, baylor, Colorado, or Arizona goes on a deep run in conference tournament. At least hanging onto the 5th spot in conference standings would help BYU better distinguish themselves over Colorado, Arizona, and Baylor as fellow bubble teams.

Oklahoma St. is at 20 points but closes with TCU. So if BYU wins two to end and Ok St. loses to TCU, then BYU would leap them. If BYU wins two and Ok St. ties TCU, BYU and Ok St. would both be at 21 points and Ok St. has better goal differential in conference play and I believe would get the tiebreaker on that. Ok St. is +10 and BYU is even on GD in conference play, so I doubt BYU is making up that GD in just 2 games, especially with one against TT.

RPIs (as of 3 days ago so before today's results): TCU 15, Ok St. 26, WVU 31, TT 32, BYU 42, Baylor 43 (lost today to 87 Utah), Colorado 47 (lost today to WVU), Arizona 50 (blew out K St. today 5-1).
