On a non-QB pass play they are taught not to throw if covered
It’s either everyone is fooled wide open and you can throw it anywhere in their vicinity or it’s not open. It’s not a, he has a step on him or I have a big window to throw. It’s either there’s nobody around or you don’t throw.
He wasn’t set when he threw which compounded the situation( he even jumped to throw it). Also the TE was covered ( I couldn’t see before the throw maybe he under threw it) Either way RB should have just ate the loss if he wasn’t all alone.
