As someone posted already, cougar canyon opens at 5:00. I'd think the tailgate crew will want to have had a few hours and a few brats already by that time.

Really unfortunate timing with the sudden weather swing. Normally much more pleasant in mid Oct. Last weekend was 80 degrees, and next week will be back in to the 70s again.

That said, there are still a lot of hikes worth doing right up around Provo canyon. Don't let the weather stop you, just get a raincoat and charge it! Hopefully tomorrow will be a little bit better to get outdoors, it really is the best feature of the area, IMO.
