Very lucky benefactor of the dot com boom and has been a fairly savvy investor. He hedged his Yahoo stock right after his company was acquired which helped him weather the bubble bursting. He’s not some business genius who founded an impactful company but he is a fairly smart guy and if I sold a website for a billion, I would probably be done with starting major business ventures as well. I don’t agree with his political takes and think he’s annoying. He also sold majority interest in the Mavs to Trump’s #1 donor.
