And sunscreen is completely unnecessary after 2pm so you didn't even have to do

that. But yes, the weather fluctuation is pretty crazy!

I'm have red heair with fair skin and stopped wearing sunscreen after 2pm almost 20 years ago while living in Hawaii when the islanders asked me why I was putting on sunscreen to surf in the afternoon. I researched UV index and found that indeed the sun is strongest from 10-2pm. I gave the no sunscreen after 2pm a shot and have never once got burned, including surfing for hours on end many many times. I've got a little sun a couple of times when going out just before 2 and up at high altitude with strong sun, but that's about it.
