recreation time. Most private land is closed to me for flyfishing, for example. But out west where we have tons of public land the fishing is 100x better than it is breaks East where there isn’t any.
If ski resorts don’t limit those possibilities (like if it’s part of the lease agreement), great.
Not sure they’d be inaccessible without ski resorts though. Nearly every canyon has a road, and requiring a little more effort to access an area is more of a feature to me than a bug. It’s increasingly difficult to get away from people.
Being able to get away from people outdoors is maybe my favorite thing about living in the West.
