the next 3, the last four, and then the post season. Each mini season will get harder, but the season before will have prepared you for it. I would be telling them right now that we are 1-0. Need to win the next 2, while obviously emphasizing the next game.

I like the idea of winning small chunks when trying to go after a much bigger goal, but sometimes the “one game at a time” gets so cliche that I think it is tough to only focus on that. Give some smaller chunks along with that.
