Because of the Big Ten, SEC and
Notre Dame getting bias treatment with their football teams - they beat up on one another, and give each other losses. These losses are seen as “good” losses, which is why they never move down in the polls as far as they should - even though their blind resume’s are often not good at all. ( see Alabama v Vanderbilt and Notre Dame v NIU)
With Utah and OK St being the only teams that got any preseason love in the Big XII, their Collapse has hurt the prospects of the conference as a whole. The conference is deemed to be down, and upstarts like BYU and Iowa State are getting no credit, and have to scratch and claw for any respect…
This scenario will probably mean that we will only get one team into the playoff tournament…
However, the Big XII will get the opposite treatment in basketball…
We should skyrocket up the chart with top 10 wins, and whenever we fall, we should not fall far…
Yormark’s job will be to change the narrative for football. The only way he can do it is for us to win win win in the playoffs over multiple years as a collective conference of 16… meaning, we will even have to root for the deplorable you know who’s once in a while…
Nah…
All of this to say, I am super glad to see the BIG XII dominating the preseason basketball polls…
