By their estimation your estimation is wrong. Preseason polls really don’t matter at all. The only thing they do is let you get ranked higher faster if you are good. Big12 basketball won’t struggle with getting high rankings for teams winning. Football is a little different but even then if you continue winning the ranking will come.
