Those teams all have to play each other so more losses will come
I do think the point that the CC game loser in the B12 will only have an outside chance of going to the CFP is probably a good one, though.
It would actually help if there were less parody in the B1G and SEC. If a couple of teams from each of those conferences could start dominating everyone else with huge wins so that the third place teams in those leagues end up with 3-4 losses by season's end including blowout losses to the CC game participants, that would be the best-case scenario for the B12. IOW, we don't want to see any more upsets of T10 teams in the SEC and B1G.
