When Glasker was running it back, I wondered if he would go down short of the goal line. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he scored. He deserved it. A lot of very good/great players go their whole career without a pick-6. I’m glad he got it.
On the flip side, I don’t think I would have been disappointed if Glasker did go down short of the goal line.
it is a very subjective line in the sand drawn between letting the players play and showing good sportsmanship. I tend to lean towards letting the players play, especially the backups. At some point though, enough is enough and you have to call off the dogs. Maybe it’s only pulling the starters.
I would never kick an on-side kick at the end of the game if my team was up by an insurmountable margin, like Kryle did. Not even to hold the opposing coach accountable.
