I think in the earlier years he had a very tough job. Limited resources, independent schedule, inexperience as a head
coach, etc. Now, he's gaining more resources, has the Big12 draw to help bolster recruiting, and has learned a lot along the way. With be better resources, he's upgraded the coaching staff in pretty much every way and he's building depth in the roster. So now I think he knows BYU is in it to win it. We're not just trying to survive in the no-man's land of independence, but looking to start winning some conference titles. It's a different mindset because he knows we have the ability to truly compete.
