Has BYU overcome all of the advantages Utah built up over the last 13 years in a single season in the Big12?
This is probably my blue goggles speaking after this weekends events but man it seems like the trajectories of the athletic programs at BYU vs Utah could not be on more opposite paths.

Everything that Utah fans hate about BYU is the reason I think we will always be more relevant. We have a global Church that supports the University and a Church who has made it a priority to build bridges with people of faith around the world, even people without faith that share similar values, we have a global and growing fan base that will increasingly align with BYU sports, we represent values that are becoming harder and harder to find in the academic world, we aren’t trying to be like every other University in the country.

If you are a person of faith you can come to BYU, play for BYU and feel supported in your beliefs.

Utah appears to me to be moving in the opposite direction from everything mentioned above, it’s not the same University my father and grandfather attended, which is fine but what is Utah’s niche moving forward if they are just like every other University in the country but located in Utah? Once Kyle leaves what do they have that makes them relevant long term?
