I'm happy to say I was wrong! Over loved seeing the change in Kalani's attitude this season, and feel like he's less "friendly" (although he still is) but more has something to prove with this team! I hope he keeps this attitude and even leans more in to it as I think it is more successful long term.

Defense has looked great this year which I think is important, because I think it helps with recruiting long term and will Jessi help solidify having a strong defense more often than not.

I won't lie that I still get a little nervous when the offense is on the field, but that could just be the fan PTSD in me from years past. Retzlaff has exceeded expectations a lot, and while I still don't love Arod and would replace him if it was up to me, he's been mostly good.

Overall, just happy to say I was wrong in my pessimism before the year started, and hope I am wrong more often if it means BYU keeps going strong in football! Contrary to what some may believe, I, and other pessimistic fans like me, want Kalani and co to succeed, but didn't think they would. Glad to see they are (because it means BYU is doing well) and hope they continue and get even better over time!
