Here's my take on the rankings...
Both BYU and Iowa State are being snubbed. I actually think it's a subconscious punishment for the Big 12 not holding to preseason predictions. The only team in the Big 12 in the preseason top 25 that is still ranked is K-State. Iowa State was just outside the top 25 receiving votes and would have been ranked 30th. Colorado got a single vote in the preseason poll. Utah, Oklahoma State, Kansas, and Arizona were all ranked but all have multiple losses, as we all know. It's my opinion that had any of the teams ranked in the preseason been still undefeated they would probably be somewhere in the top six or seven.

I think we all understand the SEC bias so it's understandable why so many SEC teams are still up in the rankings. I'm actually not worried about that because they will knock each other off and clear the way for Big 12 teams to move up, that is if the Big 12 keeps winning. I do think Texas Tech should also be ranked. They're only loss is to Washington State on the road and Washington state is actually a pretty decent team this year.

The two rankings that seem the most ridiculous to me are Miami and Notre Dame. Miami has won two games basically on luck and bad calls against teams that weren't that good. They're only when was against Florida, but Florida is not a very good team this year either. Notre Dame lost to a middling G5. They are still living off their season opening win at Texas a&m who is currently sitting atop the SEC standings with a 3-0 record. Texas is 2-0.

Interestingly enough, BYU is not the lowest ranked undefeated P4. Both Pitt and Indiana are also unbeaten and are ranked lower.

I'm fine with BYU being snubbed at least to some degree. They have been playing with a chip on their shoulder the whole season, with confidence, but also with something to prove. Keep feeling disrespected. The rankings will take care of themselves.
