I was a cheerleader from 94-96. Cosmo and Cosmette (please don’t bring her back!) was a team of two men with no particular talent at all. Frankly, one was chubby and not all that fit. They were just willing to put on the costume and walk around at events. Immediately after this timeframe a former cheerleader with amazing tumbling skills decided to leave cheerleading and become Cosmo. He started the walking down the stairs on his hands and other crowd pleasing, impressive stunts. Team Cosmo has just evolved and grown from there. I LOVE what he’s become! Such an essential part of the BYU brand!!
