To each their own...but I think most fans don't talk about it very much because
we have so much else to talk about. We're in exciting times.

The 2020 season comes up about as often as the 1996 season, or do you not consider 1996 as a special season either? Are you going to argue that the teams we played in 1984 weren't pretty weak as well? As has been stated here countless times, winning is hard. Getting double digit wins is hard. And speaking of playing bad teams, BYU absolutely destroyed those teams - which is what special teams are supposed to do, and something that BYU of late has often struggled to do. We defeated a ranked Boise team, 51 to 17 - at Boise. We defeated UCF in Florida, our first win in that state ever. We finished ranked 11 in the country.

How often has BYU had players drafted in the top 5? BYU had 5 players drafted that year.

How often has BYU's AD been named Athletic Director of the Year? How often, as an Independent, was BYU being discussed by the national newsmedia every single week? When else did the travels of BYU's equipment truck get written and commented on by the national media? It was ridiculous how much attention BYU received that year. What's BYU's overall bowl record? Getting a blowout win in a bowl game IMO, should not be so easily dismissed.

I don't begrudge you your opinion. What makes a special season or not is extremely subjective. But based on all of the things I've listed, to me 2020 was unique and special. I enjoyed it immensely. Lots of really cool things happened that season, especially given the unique state of the world and BYU's position as an Independent.
