I sit in the south end zone and a few minutes prior to kickoff it was interesting to see Brian Santiago running around trying to ensure AJ had an overall great experience.

Santiago and KY talked quite a bit in an effort to roll out the red carpet for AJ. He spoke with Steve Young, Gifford Nielsen, Mark Wilson, among others on the field.

Before the team ran out on to the field, It appeared that there may have been a plan to have the public address announcer mention that AJ and Kevin Young were in attendance and have the crowd cheer.

However, time ran out, and it was time for the team to run onto the field. Santiago quickly motioned to AJ to follow him and they ran over to be with the football team.

It looked like AJ was a little hesitant at first, but he followed Santiago and stood with the football players getting ready to run onto the field.

I remember thinking, if I am one of the football players, I’m asking myself why in the world this guy is running out with us?

Bottom line, he seemed to enjoy the experience.

Kind of an interesting couple of minutes.
