People are mentioning tiebreakers, but it’s also huge for a potential at-large bid
If Kansas State continues to look real good and BYU annihilated them, BYU will be ranked that much better by the committee, potentially giving BYU enough wiggle room to lose and still get an at-large bid to the playoff. Maybe, maybe, maybe even a home playoff game.
