Obviously the easy answer is low IQ, but after watching the game last night I see where that low IQ steers them wrong.
Utah fans accept at face value everything they hear from their media and in-game broadcasters. They don't realize the endless stream of superlatives is not honest assessment but rather just hype men doing their jobs.
Lame-duck throws described as having some zip, blaming a rolled ankle despite the 0-fer on pass attempts prior, insisting everything Utah related is "among the best in the college football."
Simply put, Utah fans are gullible (or just not jaded). Hopefully some hard lessons will be learned this season.
