I misunderstood your initial post, and made your daughter a son. I sincerely hope you have a great, memorable time tomorrow. My son is an adult now, and sports is still what we regularly share with each other. It's honestly pretty sacred time for me. And it started when he was about your daughter's age (maybe a year or two older). My only advice is to let her distract herself, if she has a way to do so. I would let my son play on my iPad, or on his Gameboy Advance (back in the day), and he would just hang out with me. He'd pick up little bits and pieces, here and there. But I never really pressured him to get into it. And one day, he started putting down the iPad and watching the games. Now, he's all in with me.
