I mean, we could all see he stood up and hobbled around the field the rest of the game. It's not like it was the 4th quarter and you need him in there for a final 2 minute drill. He couldn't plant, couldn't shuffle, couldn't run, and couldn't throw. Surely after going 2 for 9 it was obvious he wasn't going to get it done with his arm, and he had no legs left to run with. So why not relieve him in the 2nd quarter? Or the 3rd? Even in the 4th they kept trotting out his Long John Silver on a peg leg to throw ducks into the ground.
